Ohrsom’s yearly flagship program is an incredible 2 week trip to Israel. It is truly a once in a lifetime experience and you need to be a part of it!


For an extremely affordable and all inclusive $1,149, you will enjoy fun filled activities in conjunction with an intellectual adventure. Meals are included, many of them in amazing restaurants around the country. You will have the chance to experience rafting, snorkeling, abseiling, ATVing and so much more.


Israel in July is almost unbeatable, and with Ohrsom it will be a time for meeting new people, bonding with friends, partying from the Golan to Eilat and discovering things about yourself and the Jewish people you may have never known before!

Upon return, participants are committed to attending 25 very relaxed, enjoyable and extremely interesting learning sessions. The weekly learning program invites inspiring and powerful speakers in addition to our very own talented Ohrsom Student team of Rabbis who are constantly sharing challenging content with room for debate and engagement from everyone involved.

NOTE: You are not limited to the program dates, and if you wish to fly earlier, extend your stay, do both, or perhaps even fly to multiple destinations that is perfectly ok! However, if your dates are different to the program dates, any additional flight costs is incurred by you. Book early to avoid extra costs.

Rabbi Evan Widmonte

Rabbi Evan is all about the vision. He truly believes that Australian Uni Students will unite together and be a part of the Ohrsom dream. His passion is to give young aspiring Jewish Students the tools to be proud of their Jewish values and embrace them and integrate them into the world they live in. Rabbi Evan has travelled the world and grew up in South Africa, lived in Israel for 8 years and then Sydney for 5. He is all about family and his wife and 4 children are always game for an adventure. He has degrees in Accounting and Finance (CFA), Studied in the Ohr Somayach and Mir Yeshivas and worked in a variety of fields, including, Youth Rabbi in Kehillat Masada Sydney, Head of Informal Education in Masada College. He currently runs a successful company (Rimon) which focuses on the startup revolution in Australia.
